I am Peter Poelstra the man behind PEP. With my 50 years of experience in the food industry in independent retail and food service, I started PEP Consultancy & Advice in 2019. My method is a very personal approach towards customers, employees and producers.

Thanks to years of experience in the food sector, I have built up a large network with relations at home and abroad.
The last few years I have visited many Food and Wine fairs in Europe. My knowledge and passion for special and unique products arose through the visit to the fairs. Sometimes for the different niche markets and/or precursor to trends. See the “inspiration, trends and developments” below for the most important fairs.
My former management positions have made me a strong supporter of democratic leadership. A style that fits perfectly in the current time.
I can provide young and prospective managers with advice and, if necessary, personally guide them. I can also be an excellent sparring partner for management without sitting in the chair of the management. Helicopter view and a lot of mirroring are constructs that I use.
I have gained the necessary experience with group sales training. Companies often pay little attention to the forgotten group under middle management. Specific training can be done to successfully help this group with improving their sales.
Attention says it all and employees start to feel more valued and show more respect for colleagues and the company. So win-win training. These internal training courses are used in a practical manner.
